Product Descriptions

As with our camouflage names, you will notice that our various product names are really simple and easy to understand. We do this on purpose. We aren’t into confusing names that tell nothing about the product, leaving our valued customers guessing if a particular garment is made for specific seasons or temperature ranges. If it is something we wear in the early season, why confuse our customers by calling it anything else? We value your time, so we will not waste it with confusing or obscure product names.

We are proud of our products. We want you to buy confidently, knowing that we have spent years testing our products in the field. We have walked, climbed, sat glassing, knee stalked and crawled in our clothes in order to meet our highest standard and your expectations. We have been through dozens of prototypes, reworking, redesigning, and rethinking every detail to create what we feel is the best hunting and hiking clothes on the market. All of our products are available in each of our Wanayi proprietary and copyrighted camouflage patterns.

When looking through the product options and product photos, here is something to keep in mind for sizing your choices… in the office, we have classified our photos by calling the mannequin photos “Static” photos and the ones taken outdoors as “Field” photos. Here is why that is important.

In the Static photos the shirts, hoodies, and jackets on the mannequin are a size SMALL. The Static pants photos are size 32x32.

Field photos are shown on male models that are 5’10” with athletic builds and weigh between 175 and 190 pounds. They are wearing size LARGE shirts and hoodies and size XL jackets. The pants in the Field photos are size 34x32. The female model was wearing a MEDIUM size hoodie and a Large jacket.

All of the following products are available in each of our trademarked camouflage patterns. To see them in the pattern you want, please go to our Shop page.

The Mid Season Jacket

When the leaves start to turn into their Fall colors, the days get shorter, and the temperature starts to drop, this is the best time to be in the field hunting big game in the west!

Our American made Mid Season Jacket is the perfect solution for hunts where it is brisk in the morning and warm during the middle of the day. Easily packable, this outer layer jacket will provide lightweight warmth and comfort while being breathable, silent, and somewhat wind resistant. The Mid Season Jacket’s 100% polyester fleece lining creates warmth and comfort and dries quickly should you start to sweat. The outer shell is made of 96% polyester and 4% spandex and provides moderate wind protection and moderate moisture resistance. It is not a waterproof jacket. The Mid Season Jacket has a half neck design with a full zipper, two zipper hand pockets, a lapel zipper pocket, and fitted elastic wrists. It is tapered at the waist with an elastic draw string to prevent wind cooling. It will not hamper a smooth bow draw or raising a rifle. It is also silent so your prey will not hear you. When worn with a midweight undergarment, the Mid Season Jacket will have a comfort range from 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit depending on your temperature tolerance and activity. When worn over a puffy jacket, the comfort range can be as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend washing in cold water, in the gentle cycle, without any fabric softeners, and no bleach. You can tumble dry on low temperature or with as little heat as possible. Line drying is also good. Never iron it and do not dry clean. The Mid Season Jacket is a very versatile and durable outer layer jacket that provides great warmth and protection for its weight. For fall hunts, it cannot be beat! Get Out There And Hunt!

The Mid Season Long Sleeve

It’s early October and it is starting to get cold. Not too cold, but cold enough that in the mornings and evenings you are turning the heater on in your truck. Leaves are falling and daytime temperatures are not in the 70s anymore. You have a spring in your step as you finish the climb to your favorite glassing knob. Now sitting, your tripod is up, your binos are mounted and you settle in to wait for the big guy to show. Luckily, you are comfortable, not too hot, not too cold, because you are wearing your Wanayi Mid Season Long Sleeve shirt.

Our American made Mid Season Long Sleeve shirt is made from a quilted polar grid polyester/spandex blend that provides warmth while remaining breathable and quick to dry. It is great alone, as a base layer, or as an outer layer. The Mid Season Long Sleeve is our most versatile garment and fabric. For October and beyond, this shirt will become your favorite. Wear it as a base layer in the coldest times, alone, or with our Early Season Hoodie during the fall transition. The Mid Season Long Sleeve will never let you down. As with our hoodie, it is silent, has thumb holes to keep from bunching up at the elbows and remain fitted to the wrist when worn underneath another garment. We recommend washing in cold water, in the gentle cycle, without any fabric softeners, and no bleach. You can tumble dry on low temperature or with as little heat as possible. Line drying is also good. Never iron it and do not dry clean.

The Early Season Hoodie

Many prime elk, mule deer, and antelope seasons in the west open early. Several of the archery seasons can open as early as July in some western states. This can mean big daily temperature changes from the low 60s to the upper 80s and 90s Fahrenheit.

Our American made Early Season Hoodie offers the hunter a great option for these early hunting seasons and beyond. This lightweight, long-sleeved hoodie is made from 93% polyester and 7% spandex. The Early Season Hoodie is lightweight, comfortable, quick to dry, and provides UPF 30 protection. It is also virtually silent. Thumb holes allow for it to keep from bunching up at the elbows and remain fitted to the wrist when worn underneath another garment. The attached hood offers great concealment and will somewhat protect your neck and head from the sun during long stalks and exposed waits for your trophy to stand up. The Early Season Hoodie has a comfort range of 65 degrees Fahrenheit and above and when worn with an undergarment base layer, can be used in slightly colder weather. The Early Season Hoodie can also be worn as a base layer on colder hunts. We recommend washing in cold water, in the gentle cycle, without any fabric softeners, and no bleach. You can tumble dry on low temperature or with as little heat as possible. Line drying is also good. Never iron it and do not dry clean. If it is going to be a hot hunt, this is the best shirt to wear.

The Early Season Pants

You have put in your time. You have applied for years for that once in a lifetime tag and this year, you didn’t add to your bonus point total, you drew your dream tag. It is an early season tag in a premier unit in a great moisture year. Now the planning begins. The list of things to consider is endless. Lucky for you, you don’t have to wonder which hunting pants to wear because you have a pair of Wanayi Early Season Pants.

The Early Season Pants are our most technical piece of clothing and the single product that we rethought and redesigned the most. We went through 3 years, dozens of fabric combinations, and 7 different prototypes before we got everything the way we wanted it. When you wear them you will feel the difference and see why we would not settle on anything but perfection. Our American made Early Season Pants are made for the hunter that doesn’t want to sacrifice comfort for durability. Made from a 4 way stretch polyester and spandex blend, the Early Season Pants are comfortable, breathable, silent, and durable. They have two open front pockets, two roomy zippered mid-thigh pockets (for the things you cannot lose), two zippered back pockets, and zippered thigh vents on the outside of each leg. They even come with removable knee pads to make closing those last few yards and kneeling more comfortable. Our waist sizes are a little forgiving. If you have a normal build but are a size 35” waist, our size 34 should fit just fine. One set of knee pads are included. We cannot say it enough; you must remove the knee pads before washing or drying. We recommend washing in cold water, in the gentle cycle, without any fabric softeners, and no bleach. You can tumble dry on low temperature or with as little heat as possible. Line drying is also good. Never iron it and do not dry clean.

The Early/Mid Season Beanie

It is said that a majority of your body’s heat is lost from your head. We don’t know if that is true or not, we aren’t physiologists. Luckily, we don’t have to worry about it in the early and mid seasons thanks to our Early/Mid Season Beanie! We made this beanie to satisfy bowhunters but it works for rifle hunters too. Our beanie is simple, form fitting, not too tight, and not too loose. Our Early/Mid Season Beanie is the perfect head cover to complete your concealment needs.

Made from quilted polar grid polyester and spandex, our American made Early/Mid Season Beanie will be your “go to” headwear for seasons that aren’t quite hot or cold. Whether you are stalking pronghorn on the sage flats, slow stalking a bedded muley in the timber, calling a big bull elk in the aspen forest, or closing the distance on a bucket list desert bighorn, our Early/Mid Season Beanie will be comfortable. So light it won’t be noticed (barely 1 ounce), and when worn with our hoodie and facemask it will give you complete concealment from the shoulders up. We recommend washing in cold water, in the gentle cycle, without any fabric softeners, and no bleach. You can tumble dry on low temperature or with as little heat as possible. Line drying is also good. Never iron it and do not dry clean.

The Early/Mid Season Neck Gaiter

When you are hunting from August through the middle of October, our Early/Mid Season Neck Gaiter (facemask) is vital to your concealment on archery hunts and those coveted early rifle hunts. Our facemask is lightweight, very compact, easily stored in a zippered pocket, and when not in use, can be pushed or folded down onto your neck.

The best way to describe our Early/Mid Season Neck Gaiter is that it is simple and it is effective. It doesn’t leave your face smeared with an oil, wax, or clay-based product that can be a hassle to remove and irritating to the skin. When combined with our Early Season Hoodie or Early Season Beanie, the only thing exposed will be your eyes. For true total concealment, when every yard closer can be the difference between an ethical shot or no shot opportunity, you need to “Be Unseen.” The Early/Mid Season Facemask will allow you to hunt with the confidence of knowing that you have disappeared.

Knee Pads

One set of Knee Pads are included with every pair of pants, or they can be purchased as a separate item. Wanayi American made knee pads are lightweight and made for easy removal and installation. Every hunter knows the pain of a knee coming down on a pebble or rock while crawling the last few yards to make a shot. Wanayi knee pads soften and often will eliminate that sudden and shocking pain. Made of closed cell polyethylene foam and weighing less than half an ounce per set, these knee pads are a hunter’s best friend when closing the distance. Although they will not stop a cactus spike fully penetrating (what will?) they certainly will make crawling and knee walking much more comfortable. Easily installed and removed by using our Velcro closer, you can take them out for driving or glassing. Knee pads must be removed when washing and drying pants!

Baseball Caps

Hunting, working, throwing baseball with the kids, it does not matter. You will look great doing anything in one of our American made baseball caps. Wanayi baseball caps are one size fits all (unless you are a grizzly bear) with adjustable closers and come in two styles, the Full Mat Cap and the Half and Half Cap. Both styles are available in select Wanayi camouflage patterns and are ready to be used for hunts or any outdoor activity.
